Best time to shoot in Brussels

Based on when Localgrapher shoots actually happen here.

JFMAMJJASOND

Busiest around July · quietest in February — in peak season book a sunset slot 4–6 weeks ahead; off-season means soft light, thin crowds and easy availability.

Why Les Galeries Royales Saint Hubert is a great place to shoot

Just a block away from Grand Place is Les Galeries Royales Saint Huber, a step back into the 1800s when it was constructed. Basically, a long street (more than 300 ft long) filled with high-end outlet shops on each side that is capped by an ornate glass and metal domed cover, will NOT disappoint. Whether it's shopping you're interested in or window shopping, you'll want to buy everything in this beautiful 19th-century architecture 2 story shopping district. Chocolate shops, boutiques, and even champagne shops are everywhere in this architectural masterpiece. There are 3 sections in Les Galeries Royales Saint Huber, Galerie du Roi/Koningsgalerij which means "King's Gallery", Galerie de la Reine/Koninginnegalerij which means "Queen's Gallery", and the smaller side gallery, Galerie des Princes/Prinsengalerij, which means "Gallery of the Princes" (Which is where the champagne shop is, don't worry we'll get to that later) Neuhaus is the first chocolate shop that is highly recommended to visit while walking along this street of chocolate heaven. While there, they'll explain to you how famous their truffles are, the "Best of Brussels" (They're quite happy to let people know about it!). Also while there, Neuhaus will definitely recommend to you their mousse (They have 4 different kinds!). If that's not enough to make you die with jealousy you'll have to go to Corne Port Royal, a chocolatier recommended over and over by hotels and guidebooks as being the rarest chocolatier in Brussels. You walk in the door and you can sample all kinds of chocolate, you'll find yourself drowning in a symphony of flavor! You don't feel like you're in a chocolate shop, it's more like a fine wine shop, or a fine cigar shop. Regardless of where you want to go, you can sign up for a Chocolate Tasting Tour near the entrances. For wine and champagne with a taste of jazz (every Friday), you'll definitely want to check out L'aube sur Aÿ, located in the Galerie des Princes. L'aube sur Aÿ is a unique place: a bar entirely dedicated to champagne where there are more than 200 kinds of champagne that offer bottles to take away or for tasting, you can get it by the glass from 8€ or in a bucket with ice from 49€. Feel like a real wine tester in style. Order some caviar. Meet James Bond...you know...whatever. After all that chocolate you'll love to sneak into Haagen-Dazs, easily able to find and indulge. And you know you're asking yourself, but what about waffles? Never fear! There's Mokafe! Over and over, everyone will tell you to go to Mokafe. They offer the best not only Belgian waffles, which are famous for being crispy on the outside and light and fluffy on the inside. To die for! Complete with either a simple topping of icing sugar and melted chocolate or whipped cream and cherries, this is THE place to get waffles on Les Galeries Royales Saint Huber! You'll never want to leave!
