I would describe my style as portrait/lifestyle photography with a focus on movement, intimacy, and nature.

I enjoy making and drinking coffee. Its a creature habit and brings me a lot of comfort and joy. I really love creating art. Many forms inspire me, so I'm always trying out new ways to create things that myself, as well as others, will enjoy. I like the landscaping. I like being able to form nature in a way that helps and supports its life and growth, as well as making it visually appealing.

I can recommend a few really magical places to take photos on Maui. First, if you want an epic sunset, Lower Paia Beach Park has some crazy vibrant sunsets. Go around golden hour to watch surfers and kids playing in the shallow waves. Bring some wine or kombucha, lay out a blanket and wait for the magic slowly present itself. Be wary of rain and high winds as those are things to be on the lookout for on the north side.

Iao Valley Heritage Gardens are also one of my favorite spots to shoot. Driving into the valley is unlike anywhere else on the island. From Kahului which can be sunny and hot to Ioa where a thick layer of clouds usually sits on the peaks of the valley hills. Cool climate, fresh water, and beautiful lush surroundings is how I would describe Iao Valley. I must see and a great choice for photos, weather permitting.

I always get some wonderful shots in Huelo. Its really many spots, that I like to keep as more of a secret to be shared with my new friends and clients. Huelo is a Jungle though, full of lush vegetation, fresh water, ocean views, waterfalls, and magic! It does not have the manicured look of Wailea or the southside. It is pure jungle. Tall palms, with vines growing up just as high. Green of every shade, Flowers, and fresh fruit on the trees. The waters are bright and clear, fresh and sacred. Huelo is Hawaii.
