About Monojit

Monojit's style

I am a storyteller, than a photographer. My photographs are mostly situational, spontanious and engaging. I love to capture human emotions. If you do not like to shoot the steriotypes, but want to capture some spontanious moments in my city with it's amazing backdrop you can contact me.

What Monojit loves

Well, I love photography. It's not only my profession but passion too. Beside Photography there is an avid traveller in me. I find my solace in the silence of the trees, sounds of chirping birds. I love mountains. But I also fascinated about seas. Sometime I felt bafled with the magnanimity as well as the serenity of the two. I love humans. Just to watch them from a distance and love to see their activities is one of my hobby. It teaches me to be more compassionate, more humane and more patient.

Monojit's favourite photo spots

Every city has his own beauty. The same goes for Kolkata. There are tourist places where you can visit throughout the year. Victoria Memorial, Princep Ghat, Maidan, Park Street, St. Pauls Cathedral, ECO Park, Mother House are few of them. However if you want to get the true flavour of the city, you have to visit locals. Kolkata is famous for it's street food and people around them. The flower market at Howrah, Colorful Lanes and BI Lanes of North Kolkata, Territy Bazar, Nakhoda Maszid and it's sorroundings places to taste Moglai food, Kumurtuli to see hand handmade potters making idols, the ghats near Ganges, The ferri which travels from Kolkata to Howrah through ganges are few of them. The list is endless. It's better to come, stay, cherrish and feel the beauty of the city.
