In Japan, I recommend shooting at sacred and scenic places like Hakone Peaceful Torii Shrine, Mt. Fuji and Lake Kawaguchiko, Daikanzan Observatory, Oishi Park, and Mt. Shinkura during cherry blossom season. In Tokyo, historical sites like Asakusa’s Senso-ji Temple and the modern Tokyo Skytree offer great contrasts. Walking in Asakusa in rented kimonos also makes for memorable photos.
